Grandparents' Day
Date: Annually in October.
Time: 10.00 am - 11.30 am
Grandparents Day is an annual celebration of the important role grandparents play in the lives of our students. Families join us to share time in classrooms, enjoy student learning, and create treasured memories together. We are grateful for the love, wisdom and support our grandparents bring to our school community.
Kindergarten Orientation
Date: Various dates from September to December
Time: 1.30 pm-2.30 pm.
Our Kindergarten Orientation program helps children and families get ready for school. Students join in fun activities to feel comfortable and excited about starting, while parents learn about routines and how to support learning. The program builds strong connections so every child begins school with confidence.
P and C Meetings
Date: Week 2 and 8 of each term
Time: 12 pm
Join our vibrant P&C. Meetings are held weeks 2 and 8 of every term in the Warami Room. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.
NAIDOC Week
Date: Annually in July
Time: 12 pm
NAIDOC Week at Luddenham Public School is a meaningful celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and achievements, woven through rich learning experiences. Students engage in storytelling, art, music, and reflection as we honour the world’s oldest living cultures and strengthen our shared commitment to respect and reconciliation.
Easter Hat Parade
Date: Easter Week
Time: 1.40 pm
Our Easter Hat Parade is a colourful celebration of creativity, with students proudly showcasing their handmade designs as families cheer them on. Afterwards, the Easter Egg Hunt brings plenty of excitement and laughter, with children racing around the grounds to find every last chocolate treasure.
Book Character Parade
Date: Book Week/Education Week- August
Time: 1 pm
We love a dress up! Our Book Parade is a joyful celebration of reading, with students dressing up as their favourite characters and proudly sharing the stories they love. The whole school community lights up as the parade brings colour, creativity, and a love of literature to life.
Luddenham's Got Talent
Date: Annually in November
Time: 1.40 pm
Our annual school Talent Quest is a brilliant celebration of courage, creativity, and Taking Flight Together, with students showcasing everything from music and dance to comedy and magic. The energy is electric, and every performer makes our Luddenham Public School community incredibly proud.
'Taking Flight Together' Annual Fly-Off
Date: Annually in October
Time: 1.40 pm
In 2025, to coincide with the first flight landing at nearby Western Sydney International Airport, we held our first annual paper plane fly-off.
WSI Christmas Movie Night and Celebration
Date: Annually in December
Time: 5 pm
Our WSI Christmas Movie Night is a magical celebration just for our students, held in a venue overlooking the airport runway and filled with festive excitement. With food, slushies, lollies, a photo booth, dancing, a Christmas movie, and even a visit from Santa, it’s a joyful end-of-year experience the children absolutely love.
